Without doubt, an excellent way to achieve and maintain health is with green tea. Today, green tea concentrate offers wonderful health benefits that everyone should know about so this could be added to their daily diet. With a little research, you would have all the information needed to be convinced.

Benefits of Green Tea Concentrate

Over the past few years, a lot of news coverage has surrounded green tea. Because of this, we now see green tea supplements and green tea tablets in concentrated form that are even more effective. Even drinking green tea concentrate in the form of a hot or cold beverage can enhance health benefits. For instance, this herbal tea boosts the metabolism, supports a healthy immune system, and even helps improve memory and concentration.

With green tea concentrate, you would have the ability to achieve a much healthier life overall while losing weight and enjoying more energy. Without doubt, adding green tea concentrate to your daily diet will help you become healthier, even if you never changed your diet or exercised, although these are recommended too.

The Effect of Concentrate

Drinking Chinese herbal tea is something that people do all the time and while this is excellent for supporting a health, the problem is that some tea companies will sell what they advertise as the “best green tea” only to find other ingredients have been added. This means the quality tea you think you are buying is actually not pure so you miss many benefits. Therefore, using green tea concentrate for health benefits is naturally going to be the better option.

Of course, green tea concentrate is advantageous over regular green tea for other reasons. As an example, some people have problems drinking tea because of the additional ingredients. While they love the flavor, sometimes tea can cause an upset stomach. However, with green tea concentrate, the only ingredient is green tea, which is much easier on the digestive system.

In addition to drinking green tea concentrate, you will find it can be used in other forms while still achieving all the wonderful health benefits. As an example, you will now find on the market green tea lotion, green tea soap, and so on.

Just keep in mind that while most people love green tea concentrate, it is not for everyone. Therefore, before adding this to your daily diet, we strongly suggest you first talk to your doctor to make sure the concentrated form would be right for you. If the doctor agrees, then you can begin enjoying green tea concentrate and all the associated health benefits.

The extract has more of … Continue reading

First, the obvious question:

What is green tea extract?

Green tea extract is the concentrate of the green tea leaf. The leaf is steeped in alcohol or some other solvent, which is then left to evaporate, leaving the extract. It has all the essential properties of the Green Tea Leaf. The extract has more of the essential parts, while parts of the leaf have no benefit, or effect at all.

Benefits of Green Tea Extract

Green tea extract has the same high level of nutrients, as you would get from loose green tea. These nutrients are called phytochemicals, which are among the strongest and most beneficial known. These antioxidants are powerful, fighting all types of illnesses as the result of free radical damage.

Free radicals have been heavily studied and with the unpaired electron, they are extremely unstable. Eventually, free radicals begin to cause a chain reaction whereby other molecules within the body also become unstable. The good news is that green tea and green tea extract is loaded with antioxidants that help by neutralizing the free radicals. Because of this, all types of health problems are prevented or controlled.

For instance, when drinking this herbal tea, taking green tea supplements, or using green tree extract, you would find digestive problems disappear, high cholesterol levels decrease, migraines go away, and much more. In addition to aiding in eliminating problems, these antioxidants also keep the body healthy so they never flare up in the first place.

Additional Health Benefits

You will also find that metabolism can be increased by using green tea extract. Therefore, if you were trying to lose unwanted weight, this would be an excellent tool. Keep in mind that if you use green tea extract to lose weight, because it contains only a very small amount of caffeine, you would still have some increased energy but without the jitters.

Several studies have been conducted to see how caffeine affects the body associated with green tea extract. The results showed that while energy level did in fact go up with increased heart rate, metabolism was boosted. However, one particular study showed the opposite, with the heart rate increasing and nothing happening for the metabolism. Even so, with so many studies showing green tea extract and caffeine help metabolism without raising the heart rate, it is safe to say that this is an excellent aid for losing weight.

List of Specific Benefits for Green Tea Extract

•	Philippines Medical Study showed positive results for treating acne
•	Green tea extract stimulates the immune system
•	The antioxidants in green tea fight dental plaque
•	Green tea contains a high level of ECGC, which is a powerful antioxidant more than 200 times that of vitamin E
•	Green tea extract and green tea have been proven to fight cancer, heart disease, and liver damage

Where to Buy Green Tea Extract

One thing we wanted to note is that while the Chinese have been drinking Chinese green tea for thousands of years and people in the western world for many years without incident, since a small level of caffeine exists, anyone with sensitivity to caffeine needs to start slow to see if a reaction would occur. In addition, anyone with high blood pressure or concerns over any level of caffeine should talk to their doctor first.

Once you are confident that green tea or green tea extract would be okay, you can find extract at health food stores, drug stores, specialty tea stores, and even tea companies online. Keep in mind that every brand is packaged slightly different. Therefore, some products might include other substances. The goal is to purchase pure extract and while the price might be a little higher, it would be worth it. Take your time to look around so you know without doubt what you are buying.

Are you looking for a sweet snack that is also healthy and pure? If so, you might consider trying the new green tea mints on the market. Even with the tough economy, this type of snack is selling great and for good reason.

Without doubt, the food industry continues to fight through the battles of today’s finances. One particular item has been getting a lot of attention for a number of reasons. Green tea mints are delicious and healthy, which makes them an excellent product of which to make profit. Because of this, finding Chinese green tea mints has become easier.

Benefits of Green Tea Mints

One of the reasons that green tea mints have been so popular is that they are made from green tea, which is a healthy tea from China loaded with medicinal properties. For one thing, green tea is rich in antioxidants, which have been studied and shown to boost the body’s immune system and prevent and fight a number of different health issues.

The best green tea available has been proven to help with heart disease, cancer, high cholesterol, arthritis, infection, and even improve immune function, as mentioned. As more and more results are provided to the public, we see tea companies being very busy selling this particular type of tea. Therefore, it makes perfect sense for green tea benefits to be the same as benefits of loose tea.

The Launch of Green Tea Mints to the Public

One of the unique aspects of green tea mints is that you can order them in virtually any shape. Because of this, these mints could be used for any occasion, whether a birthday, anniversary, wedding, or backyard picnic. Additionally, you will find these to be fair trade tea products that come in sweet and sugar free versions. Therefore, you know you are buying high quality but also healthy snacks.

When you purchase green tea mints, you will find they ship in stylish tins. Because of the size of the tins, they make great wedding favors, stocking stuffers, or they fit in any pocket or purse. That way, you can take the mints with you wherever you go. Usually, people will hold onto the tin once the mints are gone, refilling with more green tea mints or using the tin for another function.

Although mints are made from herbal green tea, you can even choose from a variety of flavors while still getting the full health benefits. Some of the popular choices include pear, which is sweet and delicious, lemongrass that has a slight tang, and many others. All you need to do is consider the occasion along with the occasion and then choose the green tea mints that work best.

In addition to amazing flavor, petal tea provides a number of health benefits.

Process for Making Petal Tea

Most flowering tea and tea blends original from Asia, China specifically and most are made with a green tea base that has been enriched and enhanced with flower oils. A great choice is jasmine flower tea, which is made from the blooms of a jasmine flower. This particular flower blooms at night and are put in cool places just before the sun goes down.

Then, just prior to the jasmine flower blooming, the blooms are put on piles of dry, heated green tea leaves. Because of this process, the tea is green but with the oils from the jasmine flower. From there, leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant are reheated and moved around so the oils can absorb into leaves that were on the bottom of the pile. Generally, this process is done three times although some of the more exotic tea options can be scented six or seven times.

Medicinal Benefits of Petal Teas

Flowering teas such as jasmine and chrysanthemum tea, they are loaded with medicinal properties that have long been used by the Chinese people. Remember, this type of healthy tea already has benefits of green tea so now they gain benefits of the flowers, to include improved digestive system, slowing of the aging process, and even antibacterial properties.

For one thing, flowering or petal teas build a stronger defense system for fighting disease and they help protect the body against certain heart diseases and various forms of cancer. Numerous studies have been conducted on flowering tea, which also helps with stopping the absorption of bad cholesterol, as well as prevents cell mutation, a problem with risk of cancer. Flowering tea also boosts health of the circulatory system to ensure the body is getting the proper amount of nutrients and oxygen.

Along with improving health internally, flowering or petal tea also helps with things such as bad breath, tooth decay, and more. In fact, many types of flowering tea actually contain tannin and fluoride that improve health of tooth enamel. The fluoride is also beneficial by promoting stronger bones and aiding with a number of bodily functions. Obviously, we all want to look and feel young, which is why so many people use products to recapture youth. Flowering tea flushes out harmful toxins within the body, which improves skin.

Of course, because of the wonderful aroma, flowering tea or petal tea offers wonderful fragrances of the flower from which the oils are taken. This means tea also provides an aromatherapy effect, which is great for promoting relaxation and peace. Along with your regular tea or coffee, you might also consider trying any one of the delicious flowering or petal teas now available.

Breast cancer devastates lives every year. With this disease affecting 13% of women and some men in the US, it is important to live a healthy lifestyle. Rather than be faced with a frightening experience of developing breast cancer, you can begin today to make changes that would help. For instance, green tea is delicious but also very therapeutic. Therefore, to prevent cancer, you might start drinking green tea and have a mammogram.

Study after study has been conducted that show of all American women, 13% develop breast cancer, as well as a small number of men. After lung cancer, breast cancer is the second leading cause of death for cancer. Obviously, no one wants to be in a situation of finding out they have this type of cancer but if they do, early diagnosis and treatment are imperative.

In the past few years, new information about causes, prevention, and treatments of breast cancer have been discovered by scientists. While the exact causes are still misunderstood and even controversial, risk factors are more understood. Obviously, when it comes to this disease, we have accomplished a lot and some of the new research is promising. One discovery is the benefits of green tea associated with cancer.

When looking at the different people that live with breast cancer, doctors have increased risk for those that have the epidermal growth factor known as Her-2/neu. When levels are high, growths that look and feel like tumors are possible. For this reason, doctors worry that women with an over expression of this growth factor could be at greater risk if breast cancer exists.

In fact, while testing breast cancer patients during a routine doctor’s visit, it is now common for the Her-2/neu level to be checked. When the numbers come back high, doctors have a better understanding of the type of treatment needed. This growth factor is very important since studies found that when breast cancer is present, and Her-2/neu is high, there is increased risk of the cancer become metastasized. When this happens, surviving the cancer becomes more difficult. Sadly, approximate 30% of people with breast cancer have higher levels of the Her-2/neu growth factor.

The goal of researchers and scientists is to identify new and effective treatments for cancer and one that is getting a lot of attention is green tea. In addition to helping prevent breast cancer, green tea has also shown promise as a treatment option. We all know that people in Asian countries have been drinking green tea for hundreds of years and when looking at the number of Asians that have breast cancer, the numbers are much lower than for American women.

Green tea is a healthy tea that comes from the Camellia sinensis plant. Interestingly, black tea, white tea, and oolong tea also come from this plant. The only difference is the leaf used and the processing. For instance, when looking at the best green tea and white tea, no fermentation is involved. However, processing of oolong and black tea does require fermentation.

Within the leaves of this plant are catechins, which are flavonoids that fall in the flavan-3-ol class. As antioxidants, they are highly beneficial for the body. One type of catechin is known as EGCG, which is found in tea and a very strong type of antioxidant. When tea is fermented, the leaves actually transform from catechins to other components that do not offer the same level of health benefit. However, unfermented tea, which includes green tea, the antioxidants is not changed. For this reason, when buying tea from specialty shops or online tea companies, you want green tea.

Antioxidants offer special benefits that are important to understand. When the body converts food to energy, the body produces free radicals, which actually damage cells, as well as DNA. If free radicals are not controlled, the body’s aging process is much faster and developing certain diseases to include heart attack and stroke, as well as breast cancer is a greater risk.

To fight off free radicals, antioxidants can help. This is why eating foods and drinking green tea loaded with antioxidants can actually lower the risk of developing cancer, as well as heart disease and stroke. This is why doctors recommend that people trying to prevent and treat cancer choose their diet wisely to include more fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as drinking green tea.

Other studies show that green tea can also make some forms of cancer treatment more effective. For instance, a study was performed using mice that had cancer and when given green tea along with cancer treatment, the treatment worked better. In fact, it now appears the progression of cancer slows down. Obviously, as a preventative measure and for cancer sufferers, this is great information.

Boston University School of Medicine conducted another study involving female mice with breast cancer and high levels of the growth factor, Her-2/neu. When given green tea with traditional treatment, tumor growth slowed down and the overall progression of the cancer was much lower than using treatment alone. This Chinese herbal tea is without doubt making a difference.

Then, for people that already had cancer, drinking green tea stopped tumors from growing and preventing cancer cells from forming in the first place were stopped. All of these tests say the same thing – the green tea benefit specific to cancer is true, for prevention and treatment. This information would certainly explain why incidences of cancer in Asian women are so much less than women in the US.

For breast cancer sufferers, this is great news, giving hope for the future. Knowing that green tea improves survival of cancer and slows the progression, even when Her-2/neu is involved is making big news all over the world. While additional research and studies are needed to gain a full understanding, more time is being dedicated to green tea and cancer to see how effective this type of tea would be for other cancer types and diseases.

Remember, even if this information had not been discovered, green tea still makes a great addition. It takes great and loaded with antioxidants it is good for the body. Since there are no risks associated with green tea, a type of tea also low in caffeine, drinking several cups a day or taking a green tea dietary supplement is highly recommended.

It should come as no surprise to anyone that green tea is good for you, there have been wars fought over the acquisition of tea. There are over 3,000 varieties of tea and they include Oolong tea, white tea, green tea, black tea, and berbal all derivatives of the camellia sinensis plant. Historically it was thought that tea originated from China, hence the expression for “all the tea in China”, and it was thought that the British smuggled out a tea bush and planted in what was then British India. However it is now thought that tea bushes are native to both Assam and China. In 1824 tea plantation were begun in the foothills of the Himalayas between Burma and the Indian state of Assam, which today is the second largest tea producer in the world China being the first.

What is so special about green tea and why is it that other Chinese teas don’t have the health benefits of green tea when oolong and black teas all come from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, as does the green tea. The answer lies in the way that green tea leaves are processed. In preparing unfermented green tea, the freshly plucked leaves are steam blasted which kills the oxidizing enzymes, and then the leaves are heated and rolled until the leaves become dark green with a bluish cast. At this point the leaves are then dried and crushed. The green tea leaves remain green because the polyphenols are not oxidized and therefore remain colorless, allowing the processed leaf to remain green. Green tea also differs from black tea and oolong tea because the processed leaves lack theaflavins and thearubigins which give the beverage a weaker flavor than black tea. Black and oolong tea leaves are made from leaves which are fermented in their processing and this has an effect on their composition rendering them less effective to fight disease.

In China itself tea drinking is a ritual that goes back over a millennium but before the Chinese began to drink tea for its thirst quenching properties it was drunk for its medicinal properties. Tea makers in China and Japan have elevated the act of tea making into an art form it is still an insult to ignore a cup of tea when offered in South East Asia. The Chinese drink tea because they appreciate the benefits of green tea, without any green tea side effects. In March 2006 an article in the Journal of American clinical nutrition declared green tea to be the healthiest beverage after water to drink.
