Most people still find the term “high tea” somewhat confusing so we hope this information will make it clearer.
Earl Grey Tea – Rich and Authentic Flavor
Earl Grey tea has a wonderful and unique smoky flavor and deep aroma that quickly draws people in. However, some people insist this type of tea is more citrus-like, which means the exact flavor and aroma is hard to define. When looking at Star Trek characters, this is the tea of choice for Captain Picard!
When talking about this type of healthy tea, remember that any type of black tea, even Chinese loose black tea that has bergamot flavoring would be considered “Earl Grey”. To make this type of tea, some tea companies actually use low quality tea, hoping the bergamot flavoring will mask the less than desirable flavor. While everyone drinks Earl Grey differently, most like a slice of lemon, which enhances the already great flavor.
